Minisopuru Hub Stand for M4 Mac Mini Review (MINI4PRO)

The M4 Mac Mini is one of Apple’s most compelling machines to date. It offers impressive performance and efficiency at a price that still feels reasonable. But while it’s a powerful desktop, it’s not without its limitations. There’s no SD card slot, no USB-A ports, and no way to expand internal storage once you’ve bought it – which can be frustrating, especially for creatives.

That’s where the Minisopuru iExpandMate USB Hub Stand (MINI4PRO) comes in. This compact and well-designed hub addresses all of those gaps. It adds front-facing USB-A ports, dual SD card slots, an HDMI output, and an NVMe SSD enclosure for easy storage expansion.

Inside The Box

Included in the box are the hub itself, a short USB-C cable for connecting to your Mac Mini, a small screwdriver with screws for the SSD compartment, and a user manual. Everything you need to get up and running is here.

Design & Build

The design closely matches the Mac Mini, both in shape and colour. The silver aluminium casing blends in nicely with Apple’s own materials, giving the impression that it’s part of the original setup. It feels sturdy and well-built.

One other neat touch is that the top-left corner of the hub has a cut-out, so this means you’ll no longer need to lift your Mac Mini to access the power button on the bottom.

Ports & Connectivity

In terms of ports this hub offers pretty much everything you could wish for. On the front of the device we have two USB-A 2.0 ports, as well as SD and Micro SD card slots that offer 104 Mb/s data transfer speeds.

Then on the rear we have another USB-A port, a 3.5mm audio/headphone jack, an HDMI port that outputs 4K at 60Hz, and the USB-C port that connects to your Mac Mini.

Everyday Use

I’ve been using this hub for the last month and it’s undoubtably made a huge difference to my digital life and workflow. Firstly, simply having a SD card slot is so convenient, I transfer content multiple times per day, so this saves so much time compared to the awkward process of attaching my camera and transferring files via USB cable.

Having two front-facing USB-A ports is another huge plus for me. This means I can conveniently charge my day-to-day accessories like my keyboard, microphone and mouse; and do so without a dongle.

I haven’t added an SSD yet, as I’ve still got around 200GB free on my Mac Mini’s 512GB drive. But it’s good to know I’ve got the option to expand in the future – and without paying Apple’s crazy SSD prices.

Final Thoughts

The Minisopuru Hub Stand for M4 Mac Mini is a well-made, practical accessory that improves the day-to-day experience of using the Mac Mini. It adds useful ports, gives you an easy way to expand your storage, and fits in so well that it feels like it was made by Apple themselves.

If you’re a Mac Mini user who regularly plugs in accessories, transfers files from SD cards, or just wants a cleaner setup, this hub is definitely worth considering. It’ll be staying attached to the bottom of my Mac Mini for the long haul.
