iVANKY FusionDock Pro 1+ Review: The Best Dock for Mac Users?

If you’re a MacBook or Mac Mini user in need of a reliable and versatile dock, iVANKY may just have the perfect solution with their FusionDock Pro 1+.

For this review I’ve been using this dock for the last few weeks with my M4 Mac Mini, Apple Studio Display monitor and a range of external devices and it’s been a faultless performer so far.

Design & Specs

The iVANKY FusionDock Pro 1 has a sleek and modern design, combining metal and high-quality plastic, build quality is excellent, this is a product that feels nice and solid when in hand.

In terms of specs this is an extremely impressive dock, designed specifically for MacOS, it can power up to three 4K displays simultaneously via its triple HDMI ports.

It features a generous 100W power supply, alongside an additional 20W PD port for smaller devices, so charging your MacBook whilst powering multiple devices simply won’t be a problem.

The FusionDock Pro 1+ additionally boasts 2x 10Gbps USC-C ports, 4x 10Gbps USB-A ports, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio port, and dual SD/TF card slots.

The fact it has an SD card slot makes it a great solution for content creators like myself, who are constantly transferring photos and videos. This is particularly useful for me, because whilst my M4 Mac Mini is a great little machine — the one thing it lacks is a SD card slot.

Performance

In my testing so far I honestly have nothing to complain about. Firstly this is a simple plug-and-play dock, so you’re up and running in no time.

Once it’s connected to my Mac Mini and 5K Studio Display monitor it’s worked with zero issues, I’ve also used it to charge my iPhone and iPad, and power my Nuphy Air75 mechanical keyboard and Samsung T7 external SSD.

It terms of temperatures it has got slightly warm but thankfully not near the point of overheating, so I don’t think that will be an issue. Of course, as with any dock, it would be wise to place it somewhere on your desk with ample airflow.

To conclude, the iVANKY FusionDock Pro 1+ is an outstanding docking solution for MacBook and Mac Mini users. Its powerful charging capabilities, extensive connectivity options, and reliable performance make it an excellent addition to any Apple-based workspace.

While its price of over £200 positions it as a premium product, the level of functionality it offers justifies the investment. For anyone looking to elevate their Mac setup, this dock comes highly recommended.
